birth and postpartum Services
"Support and compassionate care to help you have a positive birth experience and smooth transition through the first few months postpartum."
As a DONA Certified Doula, I am here to provide support during your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. First and foremost, I am here to listen. What are your desires, goals, fears, and hopes for this journey?
My main purpose is to provide you with as much support and comfort as I can through the birthing process and to help you have a smooth transition at home through the first few months postpartum.
I consider it a privilege to assist families on their road to parenthood. Whether I am at your birth, helping you postpartum, or both, my goal is to provide you with the support that each family needs.
This will be a moment you will remember for the rest of your life. Let me help make the experience a positive one!
Birth doulas are trained and experienced in childbirth. I will provide physical and emotional support and assistance in
gathering information for women and their partners during labor and birth. I will offer help and advice on comfort measures such as breathing, relaxation, movement, and positioning. As a doula I will also provide the woman and her partner information about the course of her labor and their options. Perhaps the most crucial role of the doula is providing continuous emotional reassurance and comfort. It is my goal to make sure that your needs and desires are met. There are many purposes and much value to having a labor support person attend your birth. The benefits are far reaching and affect not only the birthing mother but your baby and the father as well. I am able to offer Labor / Birth Support in Silverton and Salem, Oregon.
As a postpartum doula I will be caring for the mother and her family in the home in the first three months following birth. I will provide non-medical support and companionship, assist with meal preparation, household organization, light household duties, sibling adjustment, providing evidence based educating materials on a variety of subjects such as breast feeding, formula feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth and other issues related to the postpartum period. I also pick up items at the store the family may need, assist in breastfeeding, assist with newborn care, and meeting any other needs the family may have. I am able to offer postpartum Support in Silverton and Salem , Oregon.
